Deemed by some as “America's Toughest Race,” the Snowshoe GNCC in Snowshoe, West Virginia, is a test of not just the rider, but also the machine. For reigning GNCC ATV champion Chris Borich and the championship-winning Suzuki QuadRacer R450, however, it was just another race to win, which is just what they did on Saturday.

Utilizing the QuadRacer R450's power and durability, Borich grabbed the holeshot and stayed at the front of the pack for the entire race. As the competition struggled with the elevation, the QuadRacer R450’s Suzuki fuel injection performed admirably and kept the power flowing. Borich held strong and eventually stretched out an unassailable lead, crossing the finish line nearly a minute and a half ahead of second place.

“The race was great,” said Borich after the race. “Everyone was having setup problems due to the elevation, but the Suzuki QuadRacer R450 worked awesome. I got the holeshot and never had trouble climbing the big ski-lift mountains. As far as the bike is concerned, I can't ask for anything else!”

Borich and the Suzuki QuadRacer R450 are leading the class by 40 points now, as the series takes a summer break. Racing resumes September 11-12 at Unadilla in New Berlin, New York.
