The Quadricycle is an innovation conceived, constructed and tested to respect international road requirements. Spain, The United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, France and other EC communities have already admitted the Quadricycle on their roads.
In Canada, open motorcycles, motor tricycles, limited speed motorcycles and restricted-use motorcycles (ATVs), but not Quadricycles, are classified in the Motorcycle category.
The CECTEK Quadricycle: not an ATV.
Some differences:
• Standard highway tires and rims on quadricycles, ATV tires cannot be used.
• Quadricycle disc brakes are much larger.
• Quadricycle ground clearance and suspension travel are half of those of standard ATV.
• Quadricycle has a rear differential, while most ATVs do not.
• Quadricycle fuel consumption is 60 % less than on an ATV.
• Simultaneous operation of rear wheels, for better off-road performance, diminishes on-road handling of an ATV.
• The CECTEK is NOT designed for off-road use.
Advantages to the environment and to security:
This alternate way of transport decreases gas consumption and emissions, favouring the environment.
Precise handling, increased stability and accident protection favour better security. Driver’s permit and insurance are mandatory.
