Featuring some of the most dramatic weather effects ever seen in a racing game, FUEL places you in a fictional present, where vast landscapes have been ravaged by the extreme effects of accelerated global warming which caused tornados, brush fires, hurricanes and tsunamis leaving huge areas of America abandoned. Codemaster’s biggest creation yet, breaks a world record with 14,000 square kilometers of virtual terrain, the largest playable environment ever found in a console game. On or off-road, players can roam freely and explore through 19 different environmental regions. The game will also let the player compete in over 100 events or even create his own race on line.

Developed by French outfit Asobo Studios, FUEL will be released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on June 5th 2009. A Games For Windows® LIVE edition will soon follow. FUEL is an open-world racing game set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by global warming, with players experiencing tornadoes and sandstorms and a full day-night cycle in a wide variety of vehicles including: bikes, ATVs, muscle cars, SUVs, buggies and trucks, as well as hovercraft. Drive or ride across the tsunami-wrecked Pacific Coast through the Nevada wastelands, including the Grand Canyon, up treacherous snow-capped mountains, thick forests, arid deserts, abandoned lakeside resorts and much more.
